Maisie’s creative pursuits were first explored through the mediums of interior design and cinematography. Now, with over 10 years of experience in the wedding industry, Maisie seamlessly blends her artistic background and passion for storytelling to craft captivating and authentic images on behalf of her clients. She is renowned for her intentionality and patience—allowing moments to happen naturally while tastefully capturing them with the subtle confidence of a seasoned pro. Inspired by loved ones and lively celebrations, Maisie thrives in the art and human connection found in photography.

Carl
Carl and Mark connected years ago when he relocated to the North Shore of Boston. Carl arrived on the scene with a clear talent and purpose-driven approach to his craft. Their friendship developed quickly, and the similarities of their photographic approach made it supremely easy to begin working together. Carl has an incredible eye for detail and has a knack for finding unique perspectives to photograph the intimate moments of a wedding day. He is a calm and quiet presence, allowing your day to happen organically while also offering direction when needed to help you and your guests feel as natural as possible in front of his lens.

Masao
Masao has been documenting weddings for over a decade throughout New England. His perspective is informed by a love for the rich, natural beauty of the Northeast and his character as a thoughtful observer. His goal is always to create emotive, authentic and artistic images that both speak to you and make you feel something. He has a particular strength finding unique compositions and angles through which he tells the stories of the weddings he photographs. Masao lives with his wife and three children in the woods and enjoys birding with his eldest daughter, playing strategic board games with family and friends, and channeling his inner Messi on the soccer field.

Abigail honed her creative skills and technical expertise at the prestigious Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD), setting the foundation for her career in photography. Her education instilled in her a deep appreciation for visual aesthetics and the power of imagery to convey compelling narratives. Abigail dedicates herself to understanding the unique personalities and stories of her clients. She invests time in building a connection with them, ensuring that her photography not only documents the event but also represents a true story of their journey together. Abigail’s artistic vision, fueled by her passion for human connection, ensures that every wedding she captures becomes an unforgettable and cherished tale of love and happiness.

Simply put: Carl, Maisie, Abigail and Masao are all highly experienced wedding photographers who have been subcontracted by MSP to expand my ability to take on a larger number and wider variety of wedding clientele. When you book with a member of my team, you will still being hiring Mark Spooner Photography as a business and brand experience, but one of them will be the actual photographer on your wedding day.

While each of us has our unique strengths and artistic visions, we are mutually fueled by visual storytelling, and love to document the in-between moments that will color your wedding day.

We do! So much so that I’ve even borrowed from my team occasion! All of us are well equipped with all the tools and back-ups we’ll need to photograph your wedding with creative and technical confidence.

My team and I have very similar editing and shooting styles, and we collaborate throughout the editing process of every wedding shot for MSP. You can trust that your wedding photos will be processed in a manner consistent with the style you see on this website. Just like any of my other clients, I will take the time to make sure your wedding photos are carefully elevated with timeless edits, and you’ll receive a beautiful online gallery of full resolution digital files no later than 8 weeks after your wedding day—delivered by me!

I value the importance of building a relationship with your wedding photographer and want you to have the opportunity to develop that rapport with whomever you work with! For this reason, if you choose to work with one of my team photographers, they will be your primary point of contact throughout your inquiry and pre-event planning. I’ll be sure to touch base along the way to make sure things are running smoothly, but you should always feel that you have a direct line of contact with both your specific photographer and me.

It’s easy! Once you have landed on a specific wedding package, I’ll draft up a contract and invoice for your review and submission. To reserve your date, I simply need a signed contract and a non-refundable reservation fee. If your wedding requires travel, I’ll also need the expenses paid at the time of booking to ensure travel costs are as quoted. Weddings taking place more than 2 hours’ drive from your photographer’s home will require travel accommodations.
